Arturo Martucci di Scarfizzi was appointed President of the Corte dei conti by Decree of
President of the Republic on August 1st, 2016.
Born in Naples on August 19, 1947, married with a son, he has been bestowed with the Grand Cross of Officer of Merit of the Italian Republic.
Appointed in 1973 as Director in the Directive career of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, he is the magistrate of the Corte dei conti since 1979.
At the beginning of his career he served at the Regional Delegation for Puglia, Regional Delegation for Lazio Region and at the Control Regional Administrative Commission for Lazio Region.
From 1985 to 1994 he was also assigned to the “Servizio di Massimario e Rivista”of the Corte dei conti (Service which carries out summaries of Cdc’s judgements and publishes the Cdc’s Review).
Significant experience in prosecuting functions performed from 1981 to 1994 at the Prosecutor's General Office.
From 2003 to 2010 he was Regional Prosecutor of the Jurisdictional Chamber of Campania Region.
Deputy President of the Corte dei conti since 1st February 2015 and, in the same Institution, member of the Council of Presidency, President coordinator of the United Chambers in jurisdictional function and member of the United Chambers both in deliberative and consultative functions.
During his career he has carried out several and prestigious tasks also providing important contributions in scientific field.
Among the many positions held, he was component, from 1993 to 2003, of the College of auditors of the Second University of Naples, Chairman of the Board of Auditors of the Administrative Justice and President of Chamber of the Regional Tax Commission for Campania Region.
