The Corte dei conti carries out advisory functions in accounting matters for the Government, the Regions, Municipalities, Provinces and Metropolitan cities. It also provides advices to the Parliament and the Government regarding laws, project of laws, regulation and administrative provisions. The Corte dei conti is fully involved in the proceedings for the adoption of the Budget Law and other economic programming documents such as the Economic and Financial Document (EFD), the Updates to Economic and Financial Document , the Draft Budgetary Plan (DPB).
